From 25-250 guests The Hut can cater for a wide variety of events be it a friends and family celebration or a corporate day out.

Situated right on the water’s edge of the charming Colwell Bay, The Hut is an easy-going beach restaurant that boasts an unrivalled passion for simple yet delicious food in a relaxed and stylish environment. Using locally sourced produce wherever possible, the team at The Hut have created a menu that combines culinary classics with innovative ideas, making for a refreshing approach to typical seaside dining in the Solent.

Located on the north western coast of the Isle of Wight, The Hut is a twenty-minute RIB journey from Lymington and 35 minute RIB journey from Southampton, and arriving by boat always makes for an exciting entrance, so we offer a personal tender service that operates throughout the day, guaranteeing a swift arrival at your table from the moment you drop anchor. We are also very happy to help you arrange RIB charters for your event.

Getting here

There is a passenger ferry from Lymington (which is a 1h30 train journey from London Waterloo) to Yarmouth and we can arrange transport for you and your guests from Yarmouth which is only 7 minutes away. We also have a helicopter landing site nearby.

We are always eager to accommodate private parties and events, and will do our utmost to fulfil your requirements. For groups of 14 to 75 there are a number of areas that we can host you for either lunch or dinner and for larger groups (75-250) we offer exclusive hire of the restaurant in the evening.

Ribs and smaller craft can easily anchor off the front of the restaurant (20 yards out to sea from the white buoy) just off the restaurant. Here your boat will be safe at low springs. Anchorage is very good and there are very few rocks. Simply call the restaurant or give us a wave and someone will be on hand to collect you in our tender.
